Father and Mother/Big John MacNeil

Father and Mother into Big John MacNeil

Walking through my memory
Many years ago
Recalling all the faces
That I used to know
Some still smile at me the same old way
Some have all passed on
How I miss the ones I've lost
Where have they all gone

And I remember Kool-Aid
Running down my chin
I still can see the glass my
Mother poured it in
And the fingerprints around the sides
From all the peanut butter
Oh how I wish that I'd return
Back to the days of mother

I still can hear the music
Ringing from my house
And all those smiling voices
Singing right out loud
Oh the happiness that I once knew
While watching all the others
And thanking God for giving me
My father and my mother

Walking through my memory
Many years ago
Recalling all the faces
That I used to know
Some still smile at me the same old way
Some have all passed on
How I miss the ones I've lost
Where have they all gone
